The Reveal is a timber surround used for installing windows or doors into timber framing. It covers the stud and becomes the frame of your window or door. The architrave attaches to the reveal to cover the gap between it and the plasterboard (or internal lining).

Different sizes of reveals are available depending on your construction. The size of the reveal is determined by the combined width of the timber stud, internal lining, and cavity (for brick veneer).

The standard material for reveals is primed pine, which is finger joint pine finished with a white primer.

The most common sizes are 100mm and 138mm. Additional sizes include 90mm, 110mm, 116mm, 125mm, 127mm, 135mm,163mm,235 mm and 285 mm.
